Three Juveniles Arrested For Trying to Steal Weapons From Walmart

Three juveniles were arrested after they tried to steal weapons from a Royal Palm Beach Walmart store Saturday.

Loss prevention personnel at Walmart noticed the 12, 13 and 16-year-olds casing the store around 4:30 p.m., according to Palm Beach NBC affiliate WPTV. Employees locked down the store, located at State Road 7 and Belvedere Road, and notified the Palm Beach Sheriff's Office.

Officials said all three juveniles fled the store with the stolen weapons as PBSO deputies waited for them outside the building.

The 12-year-old and 13-year-old were captured without incident. The 16-year-old attempted to flee and was captured by a K-9 officer.

All three suspects were transported to the Juvenile Assessment Center in West Palm Beach. They are all are charged with retail grand theft. The 16-year-old will also be charged with resisting arrest.

It is unclear if any of the suspects have attorneys.
