Three Rob Man With Submachine Gun Behind Miami Beach Hotel: Cops

Three people were arrested and held in jail without bond

Three people were arrested Tuesday after police say they robbed a man with a submachine gun near a Miami Beach hotel.

Thaddeus Seay, 19, Tatiana Asis Perez, 19, and Trina Williams, 25, were arrested and face one count of robbery with a firearm, according to online jail records. They were held in jail without bond.

Miami Beach Police said a man, identified as MD Hossain, was walking on the 1400 block of Collins Avenue near the rear of the Betsy Hotel when Seay and Perez exited a dark-colored Jeep and approached him, according to a case report summary.

Seay then pushed the man against a wall and held a hard object, possibly a gun, to his back.

"The one guy pull the gun, and he told me, 'Don't move and don't make any sound,'" he said.

The pair proceeded to rob the victim of his belongings, which included a cellphone, over $1,000, several keys and a wallet, according to an arrest report.

"They took everything from me," he told NBC 6 South Florida.

Hossaim observed Seay holding a gun at him, at which point Seay said, “Don’t move, I’ll shoot you,” according to an affidavit.

The victim then observed Williams in the driver's seat as the trio drove away.

Police apprehended the threesome after a "be on the lookout" was issued. A firearm was located in the vehicle’s center console and Hossain’s belongings were found in the car door, according to an arrest report.

Hossain said he lost a lot of money, but was happy to keep his life.

"It's a lot, but not for a life or something like that," he said. "It's just a stupid job."
