Traffic Changes for President's Day Weekend in South Florida

President's Day weekend is considered one of, if not the busiest holiday weekend in South Florida, and with multiple events the traffic headaches begin.

  • Traffic changes for the Coconut Grove Arts Festival:

Drivers will not be allowed on South Bayshore Drive from Aviation Avenue to McFarlane Road and from McFarlane to Grand Avenue. Expect delays around the area of Cocowalk, Mayfair, Peacock Park and Dinner Key, and along Southwest 27th Avenue, from U.S. 1 to Tigertail Avenue.

Drivers can use Southwest 22nd or 32nd Avenue as an alternate from South Dixie Highway if headed to the festival.

Streets will reopen Monday night.

  • For Art Wynwood:

Expect heavy traffic around the area of Biscayne Boulevard, Miami Avenue, Northwest 29th Street and Northeast 2nd Avenue. And if you have dinner reservations with your sweetheart around Midtown or Wynwood, plan additional time to find parking.

  • For the Miami International Boat Show:

Expect heavy delays heading into the beach this weekend. Delays will occur on 79th Street, I-195, I-395, and the Venetian Causeway.

There will also be delays around Sea Isle Marina on 16th Street and Bayshore Drive, where you'll find yachts and power boats. Bayside Marina is the sailboat portion of the show, and the main hub is at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
