Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said firefighters rescued a person trapped inside of a severely damaged vehicle after a crash.
MDFR said it responded at about 5:30 a.m. to the location of the crash at SW 272nd Street and Krome Avenue. The person was airlifted to a trauma center.
"When the first units arrived, they found a vehicle severely damaged with one person trapped inside," MDFR said in a statement. "It took an extended amount of time and many resources including Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Technical Rescue Team and a trauma surgeon from the trauma center to extricate the patient from the vehicle."
