Limited Travel Resumes in Caribbean After Hurricane Maria

Hurricane Maria has impacted travel throughout the Caribbean. Now that Maria is gone, airlines are working hard to restore travel operations, despite difficult conditions in areas like Puerto Rico, where the entire island is currently without power.

American Airlines says they are beginning limited operations to Puerto Rico on Sunday, September 24.

One flight will leave Miami International Airport at 6 a.m. on Sunday and will arrive in San Juan. Another flight will leave San Juan at 12 p.m. and is scheduled to arrive at 3:06 p.m.

On Saturday, American resumed service to Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands. American will resume operations to Saint Maarten and the U.S. Virgin Islands once airports reopen.
