Tri-Rail Train Service Expected to Slow Through Rest of 2018 Due to Track Repairs

If you use the Tri-Rail train system to get through Miami-Dade, Broward or Palm Beach County, listen up: you may need to prepare for delays over the next three months.

Starting Wednesday and running through December 26th, the 72-miles of train tracks will have maintenance work done on them at various points – which is expected to reduce speed and force trains to use a single track at several areas.

Tri-Rail, which runs along the west side of I-95 between the three counties, is expecting trains to run as much as 20 minutes behind schedule according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

Passengers are being encouraged to download the Tri-Rail app, visit their website or call 1-800-874-7245 to monitor times and check for updates.
