Trump's Doral Golf Resort Ordered to Pay $315,000 to Paint Store

An appeals court has ruled that one of President Donald Trump's Florida golf courses must pay more than $315,000 to a Miami paint store chain.

The Miami Herald reports Florida's Third District Court of Appeal ruled Wednesday the Trump National Doral Miami resort owes The Paint Spot $32,536 for paint and $282,950 in attorney fees. The appeals court upheld a lower court ruling.

Trump bought the resort in 2012 for $150 million and renovated the course and hotel. The paint store claimed in a lawsuit that the resort failed to make the final payment on a $200,000 contract. Trump's company, Trump Endeavor, argued that The Paint Stop hadn't followed certain statutes, and that billings identified the wrong contractor.

A voicemail left with the resort's marketing department wasn't immediately returned.
