Two 13-Year-Old Teens Charged in Armed Carjacking Inside Miami-Dade School Parking Lot

Miami-Dade Police have arrested two teens caught on camera allegedly using a weapon to steal a car from a teacher inside of an elementary school parking lot – with both being just 13-years-old.

The teens were found by investigators on Monday and charged with armed carjacking in the case that took place September 25th inside Biscayne Gardens Elementary School.

In the video, the teens can be seen approaching 59-year-old Flora Martinez as she attempted to get into her dark blue Toyota Corolla shortly after 5 p.m. Martinez fled back to the school as the teens drove away before hitting a curb, damaging the car and causing the teens to flee the scene.

Neither Martinez nor the teens were injured in the incident.

Police did not release additional information on the case, including if the teens were former students of the school or new the victim.
