Two good Samaritans helped save an elderly woman who fell with her car into a Hialeah canal, officials said.
Rubiel Treto said he jumped into the water when he saw the 79-year-old lady fall into the canal.
“I tried to hold her up as much as possible,” he said. “I hope she is okay and she suffers no negative consequences for the little amount of water she took in.”
Hialeah Fire Rescue said the woman was transported to a local area hospital out of precaution, but no injuries were reported.
“He did a kind, human deed," Treto's grandfather said.
The incident occured on West 4th Avenue and West 56th Street in Hialeah.
