One person was seriously injured and another hospitalized in an early morning crash in Hollywood Wednesday, police said.
The crash happened around 7 a.m. in the area of Hollywood Boulevard and 52nd Avenue when a vehicle traveling eastbound collided with two cars at the intersection, Hollywood Police spokesman Lt. Norris Redding said.
After hitting the two cars, the vehicle struck a utility pole, knocking it over, Redding said.
The driver of the vehicle traveling eastbound was taken to the hospital where their condition was unknown. The driver of one of the cars that was hit had to be extricated out of their car and was rushed to the hospital with very serious injuries, Redding said.
The crash closed Hollywood Boulevard in both directions between 50th Avenue and 56th Avenue.
Police are still investigating the crash.
