Two men have been arrested in the robbery of a Pizza Hut in Coral Gables that involved an employee, police said.

Michael Ortiz, who works at the restaurant at 3830 Southwest 8th Street, and 20-year-old Carlos Cabrera were arrested in the Friday afternoon robbery, police said Saturday.

Both Cabrera and Ortiz are being charged with one count of armed robbery and it is unknown if they have hired an attorney.

The robbery was reported around 4:15 p.m. Friday. When officers arrived they received a description of the suspect as a heavy-set white male possibly armed with a knife.

One officer found the suspect, later identified as Cabrera, on the Coral Gables Trolley a short time later, police said.

After further investigation, police determined Ortiz was involved in the robbery, officials said.
