Two Separate Shootings Just Four Miles Apart in NW Miami-Dade

The Miami-Dade Police Department is investigating two separate but nearby shootings – one of which was fatal – on Saturday in northwest Miami-Dade.

Officers responded to a scene when shots were fired at 3530 NW 84 Terrace at about 3 a.m. The victim was identified as 38-year-old Tyrone Cobbins, who was fatally shot inside a home, according to MDPD.

The suspect fled and police established a perimeter to track the suspect down.

Just four miles away, a second shooting occurred at around 4:45 p.m. when another victim was shot at 3148 NW 60th St.

Neighbors told NBC 6 that the victim, a black male in his early 40s, was running door-to-door asking for help. Investigators believe the man was shot at a different location, but was found and transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Police have not yet released a description of the victim.
