Uber Driver Raped ‘Incapacitated' Woman He Drove Home: Miami-Dade Police

A Miami Uber driver was arrested after police say he raped an 'incapacitated' woman after he gave her a ride home.

Nimer Abdallah, 26, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of sexual battery of a victim who was physically incapacitated, according to a Miami-Dade Police arrest report.

Abdallah was booked into jail, and it's unknown if he's hired an attorney.

According to the report, the incident happened early Saturday after the victim said she and another person took an Uber to her home. The victim said she woke up the next day and found her pants and panties had been removed.

The woman was able to identify Abdallah from photos and he was brought in for questioning, the report said. Abdallah admitted to removing the woman's pants and panties and sexually battering her, the report said.

"[Abdallah] further admitted the victim had been drinking and stated he was wrong for what he did," the report said.

Uber released a statement regarding the incident via phone, saying "Uber is aware of the investigation and has banned the driver from their service at this time. These actions are in clear violation of the community guidelines."
