Venus Williams left a law office in West Palm Beach on Thursday after attending a deposition hearing as part of the wrongful death lawsuit against her.
The tennis star is being sued after being involved in a car crash over the summer that led to the death of a passenger in another vehicle.
Police in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida say witnesses told investigators that Williams ran a red light in her 2010 Toyota Sequoia SUV, causing a June 9 crash that injured 78-year-old Jerome Barson, who died two weeks later.
Video from a nearby security booth would reveal the tennis star appeared to enter the intersection lawfully.
