Victims of Coconut Grove Double Shooting Identified

Neighbors have identified two women who are recovering after being shot in Coconut Grove Tuesday night.

Two neighbors tell NBC that one of the victims is a 63-year-old Army veteran known affectionately as "Miss Sissy." She was shot two times on the side with no exit wound.

The other victim, 27-year-old Raisha Watson, is a mother to a 7-year-old little boy.

Both women were shot around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 3500 block of Thomas Avenue near Grand Avenue in Coconut Grove, according to Miami Police.

Witnesses said one of the women was sitting in her vehicle and the other was walking on the sidewalk when they were both suddenly shot.

Both victims were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital where they are listed in serious but stable condition, according to Miami Fire Rescue.

Police say the shots were fired from inside a dark-colored vehicle and that it may have been a drive-by shooting.
