Caught on Camera: Knife-Wielding Robber Chases Tow Truck Driver at Miami Gas Station

Police are looking for a man who chased a driver around with a knife before robbing his tow truck at a gas station in Miami.

The robbery took place at around 4:20 a.m. on Aug. 31 at a Chevron gas station located at 1684 NW 27th Avenue, according to Miami police.

According to detectives, the robber threatened a tow truck driver at knifepoint before he chased him around the truck while pointing and threatening him with the weapon. The victim managed to run inside the gas station's store before the robber took a cellphone and cash from the tow truck. 

In the surveillance video, the robber is seen yelling after the victim before fleeing westbound on NW 17th Street.

The suspect is described as a white Hispanic male, clean-shaven, slim-build, 28 to 32 years old, who stands 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall. He has short brown hair, brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a light-colored shirt, blue/gray pants and black sneakers, according to police.
