Surveillance video shows Dayonte Resiles' escape from police custody inside a Broward County courtroom.
21-year-old Resiles escaped from shackles and handcuffs and left through a back door of the Broward County courthouse on July 15th.
Resiles fled from authorities and was on the run for nearly a week before his capture at a West Palm Beach motel. He is charged in the stabbing death of a woman whose family founded the Halliburton oil services company.
The escape prompted BSO to create new protocols to guard inmates charged with murder. When they're moved from the jail to the courthouse, armed deputies are with them all the time.
