Wade-less Heat No Match For Hawks

The Heat were dominated by the Hawks on Friday in a game that Dwyane Wade missed with an injury

The Miami Heat fell to the Atlanta Hawks on Friday by a final of 114-103 in a game that Dwyane Wade missed with a hamstring injury.

This was the first game of the season that Wade missed and he is not expected to miss significant time. It is possible the guard could return for Miami's next game which will be on Sunday.

The loss was the second in a row for Miami which has had a streaky season thus far. After winning the first three games of the year, the Heat lost two straight before winning two straight. Now, they have once again lost two straight for an overall record of 5-4.

Without Wade, the Heat turned to James Ennis for a spot start. That experiment didn't last long however as the rookie played the first five minutes and then sat until the final minute of the game. Ennis finished 0-1 with one point. Despite a decent preseason, Ennis has struggled to find much time in the Heat rotation so far this season.

Mario Chalmers remained on the bench to begin the game but played starter type minutes. The guard ended up with 40 minutes on the court and he made the most of it. Chalmers had a double-double with his 23 points and 11 assists. He once again outplayed Norris Cole who remains the starting point guard. Cole had six points and seven assists in 28 minutes.

Shawne Williams had a big night with 21 points and six rebounds. Williams who continues to fill in for Josh McRoberts was 5-6 on his three point attempts and also had a steal to go along with a block in the game.

After a tough game against Indiana, Chris Bosh bounced back with a solid 20-point game. The big man also added eight boards and two steals in 38 minutes.

The Heat will take on the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday back in Miami at 6:00 p.m.
