The City of Fort Lauderdale issued a boil water notice Sunday after a water main break.

Those living between NW 4th Street and West Las Olas Blvd. to the north and south and between NW 7th Avenue and SW 2nd Avenue to the east and west are under the notice until surveys show the water is safe to drink.

Residents are advised that all water used should be boiled for at least one minute - including water for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth and washing dishes among other uses.
