Week 10 Preview: Dolphins at Lions

The Dolphins will be looking for a 4th straight win on Sunday in Detroit vs the Lions

The Miami Dolphins will take on the Detroit Lions on Sunday in search of a fourth straight victory and a 6-3 record.

Miami has looked solid the past three weeks as it has moved into the playoff discussion with three wins in a row. If not for a late loss vs Green Bay, the Dolphins would be potentially playing for a seventh win this weekend. Still, their five wins has kept them not only in the wild card hunt but also in the AFC East race.

The Lions will not be an easy opponent, they are leading the NFC North and have won three games in a row as well. Detroit plays just as well at home as it does on the road with equal 3-1 records in the splits.

Ryan Tannehill has been on a great run as of late and has looked like one of the better quarterbacks in the league. Flashes of productivity have been seen from the QB in the past but this has been a rare long stretch of solid contributions from Tannehill. In the last five games combined, the QB has thrown ten touchdowns and four picks. Tannehill has exceeded a passer rating of 120 in two of his last three games as well.

Lamar Miller is questionable for the game with a shoulder injury but should play. Miller continues to serve as the primary running back for Miami. If he can not go, Daniel Thomas would be the likely recipient of the extra snaps.

This game offers up an interesting competition between a solid offense and a dependable defense. The Dolphins have been one of the more prolific offensive teams in the NFL as of late while the Lions have allowed the least points per game in the league.

Sunday's game in Detroit is set to start at 1:00 p.m.
