Miami Dolphins

Week 12 Preview: Dolphins at Broncos

The Dolphins will have a tough assignment against Peyton Manning and the Broncos

The Miami Dolphins will have their hands full on Sunday in Denver when they take on Peyton Manning and the Broncos.

Manning is enjoying yet another MVP-caliber season while his Broncos lead their division. Denver is also in the running for the best record in the AFC and is coming off a loss in St. Louis. That loss last week has made this game even important for Denver which won't make things any easier for Miami.

The Broncos have an eye-opening home and road split this year. On the road, they are a pedestrian 2-3 but are 5-0 in Denver. This game is at Sports Authority Field where the Broncos are averaging over 34 points a game.

The Dolphins meanwhile are coming off an impressive win over the Buffalo Bills over a week ago. The Bills came into that contest tied with Miami at 5-4 and also held the tiebreaker after their win in the second week of the year. The win by the Dolphins propelled them to second place in the AFC East.

The Dolphins have not allowed a touchdown in two of their past three games and they won both of those contests. Miami has one of the best defenses this year but Denver has one of the best offenses. Sacking Manning would help the cause but the future Hall of Famer has only been sacked 11 times this year which is the lowest total in the entire league.

Ryan Tannehill has been enjoying a great run, perhaps the most consistency he's shown in his young career. In the past five games, Tannehill has combined for nine touchdowns and two interceptions. Miami is 4-1 in those games and has stayed in the playoff hunt with its 6-4 record.

Sunday's game in Denver will begin at 4:25 p.m.
