Clear the Shelters Weekend!
Since its first year in 2015, over 8,000 pets have been adopted nationwide during the annual Clear the Shelters event. If you have been thinking about getting a four legged best friend or two, now is the time.
Join NBC 6 and Telemundo 51 at one of the nine participating shelters across Miami-Dade, Broward, Monroe, and Palm Beach counties this Saturday. Most shelters will be offering discounted or waived adoption fees. Click here for more info.
Charli XCX Meet & Greet
Singer Charli XCX is in South Florida this weekend! The “Boom Clap” singer will be at Gramps in Wynwood for a fan meet and greet and signing this Saturday from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. For entry, fans purchase the Charli XCX LP at the Technique Records pop-up shop or through a pre-order link.
If you get hungry, don’t worry. Milly’s Empanada Factory will be selling their famous empanadas and other Venezuelan street food treats throughout the meet and greet. If you get there early, the first 100 fans get free empanada lunch bags. Click here for more info.

This Saturday morning, the hotel be offering a “Yin and Yang of Mind and Movement” class beginning at 9 a.m. First, you’ll push your body for 30-minutes with their well-known Spartan boot camp. Then, find your flow with a 30-minute restorative yoga session. Participants will also be rewarded after the class with delicious, fresh-pressed juices. Back to School Bash with Style Saves in Wynwood
School is officially back in session. Style Saves is looking for volunteers to join them at Mana Studios in Wynwood for their 8th annual Back-to-School bash on August 18th and 19th.
Over 5,000 students from over 60 schools and organizations will receive new uniforms and supplies to get them ready for the new school year. Join the Style Saves team in treating children to two days full of shopping, arts and crafts, fitness classes, games, and much more.

Hip Hop stars Busta Rhymes and OT Genesis will be hitting the stage at the Big Buck Music Festival in Deerfield Beach Saturday August 18th. The festival will be held at the Oveta McKeithen Recreational Complex, and will feature music, food and entertainment for the entire family to enjoy. More details here.
International superstar is bringing her “El Dorado” tour Friday night to the AmericanAirlines Arena. She 12-time Grammy-winner will dance and sing many of her hits including “La Bicicleta” and Chantaje.” More details here.
