The weekend is finally here and there’s so much to do! From an epic “Game of Thrones” watch party to a huge, fingerlickin’ backyard BBQ, here’s a look at what’s going on in South Florida this weekend.
“Game of Thrones” Season Finale
“Game of Thrones” fans, are you read for the series finale this weekend? Grab you friends and head to the Wharf this Sunday because the venue will be hosting an epic watch party on a giant 14-foot LED screen. During the special event, fans can enjoy GOT-themed cocktails – including a special White Walkers-inspired creation. Need a good laugh? A couple of big comedians will be bringing the funny to two different South Florida stages this weekend: Chelsea Handler and Arsenio Hall. Handler is bringing her “Sit-Down Comedy Tour” to the Fillmore Miami Beach Friday night at 8 p.m. Every ticket comes with a copy of the comedian’s new book, “Life Will Be the Death of Me.” Click here for more info.
Arsenio Hall will be bringing the house down at the Miami Improv for several shows on Friday and Saturday. Hall laughed his way into history by becoming the first black late-night talk show host. Summer is almost here and we’re already feeling the heat in South Florida. You what that means, right? The 7th annual Grillin’ and Chillin’ cookout is this weekend at Peacock Park. The free event pops off this Sunday at 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. The menu will include everything from traditional fingerlickin’ grub to Caribbean, Latin and Korean barbeque. Elton John + Lasers = Epicness
If you like Elton John and laser shows, then you’ll want to check out the Frost Museum of Science this Friday. The museum is featuring a special “Rocketman”-themed laser show at 8 pm. Advanced screening tickets will be given to a few lucky guests in anticipation of the May 31st release of the musical fantasy about the uncensored story of Elton John’s breakthrough years.
