Fall officially arrives Saturday and South Florida is not lacking of fun things to do for people of all ages. From chowing down pizza with Miami Heat stars Dwayne Wade and Udonis Haslem to browsing museums -- for free, there's something for everyone in the family to do.
Wade and Haslem in the Kitchen
Miami Heat champions and South Florida favorites Dwayne Wade and Udonis Haslem have joined forces off the court to open their first joint venture, 800 Degrees Woodfired Kitchen in Aventura. The restaurant is a west coast-based concept with a diverse menu including pizza, savory rotisserie meats, healthy salads and bowls, woodfired appetizers and more. Guest checking out the new hotspot may even spot a celeb or two. Click here for more.
Homegrown bites, brews and bands
Miami’s first-ever indoor festival takes place this Sunday at Homegrown Miami in Coral Gables. The festival features all local eats, craft brews, DJs, live music and art, with culinary demos and the best South Florida-inspired bites. The event will also feature local vendors representing everything 3-0-5. If doesn’t have ties to Miami, it won’t be there. Click here for more info.

Feel like doing something different this weekend? Several local museums are participating in Smithsonian Magazine's Museum Day Saturday, which means you can visit for free. Click here to see which museums you can visit and how to download your pass.
It’s the third weekend of the month, so you know what that means: Laser Friday at the Frost Science Museum of Science. From Pink Floyd to Daft Punk, the experience uses projects sights and sounds all under the planetarium’s 67-foot dome. Make sure to get tickets ahead of time because space is limited.
