What's Open, Closed During Holiday Weekend in Miami-Dade and Broward

As people across South Florida prepare to observe the holidays of Good Friday, Passover and Easter, several businesses and services will be closed while it will be business as usual for others.

Good Friday and first night of Passover

Schools in Miami-Dade and Broward counties will be closed as will the Broward clerk of the court. Federal and state offices will be open and mail will still be delivered as scheduled, while libraries in both counties will also be open as will banks.

Easter Sunday

Several businesses will be closed in observance of the holiday – including Publix, Aldi and Target – while others like CVS, Winn-Dixie, Trader Joe’s, Walgreens and Walmart will be open for normal or reduced hours.

Libraries in both counties will be closed Sunday and Tri-Rail service will be running on a weekend holiday schedule.
