White Powder Found on JetBlue Flight From Fort Lauderdale to Connecticut: Police

Flight 460 landed safely at Bradley International Airport

Connecticut State Police said they are investigating after white powder was found on a JetBlue flight that departed from Fort Lauderdale and landed at Bradley International Airport.

Airport spokesman John Wallace said the powder was found in a bathroom of the plane shortly before JetBlue Flight 460 was scheduled to land Monday night at the airport north of Hartford. A flight attendant found the powder, according to police.

Wallace said the flight landed safely and passengers were allowed to deplane. No injuries were reported.

Samples of the white powder were taken for testing.

Wallace said the discovery had no effect on airport operations and did not cause any delays to incoming or outgoing flights.

JetBlue said 135 passengers and five crew members were on board the flight that originated at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
