A woman has been arrested for a purse snatching in Miami last month, police said Monday.

Jacqueline Wright, 35, was arrested last week on charges of robbery by sudden snatching and fraudulent use of a credit card, according to an arrest report.

Police said the victim was walking with her friend on Northwest 10th Street near Northwest 1st Avenue in the early morning hours of Jan. 20 when she had her purse snatched from her shoulder.

As the victim was going through her purse, a car approached and Wright got out of the passenger side and grabbed the purse, police said. The vehicle then fled the scene.

Within an hour, the victim's credit card was used three times at two different Walgreens store on Miami Beach for more than $250, police said.

Wright was being held on $5,000 bond Monday, jail records showed. Attorney information wasn't available.
