A woman in North Florida has become the latest person to join the list of interesting stories from the Sunshine State after a driver captured video of her running naked across a busy highway, possibly in an effort to capture her runaway dog.
Cell phone video shot Friday in Flagler Beach, located between Daytona Beach and St. Augustine, showed the woman dodging cars while running from the median of I-95 back toward her car parked on the shoulder.
“The peculiar thing was the lady was pretty calm about the whole thing when she was walking across the street, even though there were vehicles going by,” said Richard Griffin, who shot the video, in an interview with NBC affiliate WESH-TV.
In the same video, the naked woman is seen with a man – who is fully clothed and is holding a dog.
“People do love their animals, so I can understand that. I just don’t know if people unclothe themselves before attempting to save their animals,” Griffin said.
Griffin told the station both people were able to get back into their car safely and drive away.
