Woman Facing New Charges for Alleged Botched Buttocks Procedure

The woman previously charged in a botched penis procedure case, now faces new charges involving a different procedure and faced a judge Wednesday.

Prosecutors said Nery Carvajal injected a filler into a woman's buttocks, disfigured her and caused infections.

The alleged victim, who now lives in Pennsylvania, told detectives she paid Carvajal $1,200 for the injections to augment her buttocks. But instead, according to the arrest report, she began to suffer intense pain and bruising.

"Probably going to have, if she undergoes an operation, she'll lose a large portion of her buttocks," said Warren Eth, special prosecutor.

Carvajal is already facing charges of practicing medicine without a license for injecting filler into a man's penis. In that case, prosecutors said Carvajal's injections caused complications and she referred him to Dr. Mark Schreiber. But he wasn't licensed and according to prosecutors, caused further damage.

Carvajal's attorney disagrees with all the charges against his client.

"Between the last six months, all we have is two people coming forward. I cannot imagine these accusations can even be true at this point," said Jean Claude Dugue, defense attorney.

Carvajal is still in jail on the prior charges and now has a total bond of $75,000. She'll be arraigned on the new charges on Monday.
