Miami Police are investigating after a woman was fatally shot in the back late Monday night in Wynwood.
Police say the shooting happened at 1955 Northwest Second Court around 11:30 p.m. Monday.
After she was shot, the woman was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital and was later pronounced dead.
She was identified as 29-year-old Monique Manley.
Manley had been speaking with a friend when a vehicle with two suspects inside drove up and the suspects got out and opened fire, police said.
Police did have someone detained late Monday night, but it is unclear if that person has been released or taken into custody.
