Police have identified the body of a deceased woman found floating in the Atlantic Ocean off of Fort Lauderdale early Wednesday morning.
Fort Lauderdale Police identified the body as that of 23-year-old Alexandra Senesi of Fort Lauderdale.
Senesi was a 2010 graduate of Cardinal Gibbons High School in Fort Lauderdale. In a statement, the school announced her passing with a heavy heart and requested prayers from the CGHS family.
A wake for Senesi will be held at Baird Case Funeral Home on Friday, with a Mass of the Resurrection service at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fort Lauderdale Sunday morning.
Senesi was found floating in the water in the area of Oakland Park Boulevard just before 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday. The circumstances surrounding her death are under investigation.
