The Grinch That Towed Christmas

A Florida woman sees daughter's Christmas towed away by the repo man

Even the Repo Man has a heart, right? Well if he does, it can't be much larger than the Grinch before he found the spirit of Christmas.

Single mom Anne Bright had her Christmas towed away after the car she was using to stockpile gifts was repossessed, WESH reported.

Now, no one can seem to find the car or the toys.

"This is something I worked hard to do so I could provide," said a teary-eyed Bright, who works two jobs and has a 10-year-old daughter.

The car that was repossessed actually belonged to her brother's girlfriend, who fell behind on her payments. Earlier this week, Bright loaded the car with more than $400 in gifts from the Daytona-area Wal-Mart and Toys R Us, and that's when the Repo crew struck, hitching up the ride while Bright was doing more shopping.

"I really feel like they watched me to see what I was putting in that car," Bright said.

When Bright contacted the dealership to find out where the car with the Christmas goodies was towed, they gave her the run around. After paying a $45 fee, the dealership gave Bright the equivalent of a lump of coal - a garbage bag filled with trash and a car seat.

The dealership refused to say what company repossessed the ride and now police are looking into the matter.

"None of the stuff I purchased were in that car," Bright said. "I don't know what I'm going to do. The money I have right now has to go to rent pay bills food."
