Police are searching for a woman who stole a car that was left running with a gun inside in a Miami-Dade neighborhood Wednesday.
The theft happened in the employee parking lot behind the Yuka Deli restaurant, at 5899 Northwest 36th Street in Virginia Gardens, police said.
The woman was seen casing the area before she got inside the 2009 Toyota Camry, which was left running with the keys in the ignition, and took off, police said.
"The woman must've been watching me and she stole the car in a matter of seconds," car owner Jose DeLeon told NBC 6 in Spanish. "I was leaving work and decided to go back inside to get a coffee and I left my car running and I was gone maybe two minutes and my car was gone."
DeLeon said he's most concerned about police finding the gun.
"I don't want it to get into the wrong hands," he said.
