Police say a white Hispanic man entered the Quick Cash Pawnshop located at 7318 NW 7th Ave., on the morning of December 6. He approached a female cashier and asked about pawning a Ford Explorer and jewelry, before demanding money and other items while the she was held at gunpoint.

The thief then directed the cashier towards the storeā€™s safe, and demanded her to open it. She immediately complied by opening the safe.

After looting the safe, the man forced the cashier to the bathroom and tied her hands together. He then locked her inside the bathroom.

The second employee was transported to Northshore Medical Centerā€™s Emergency room by City of Miami Fire Rescue, where he was treated for minor injuries.

Authorities say he fled on foot while carrying a black bag.
