Woman Uses Dress to Rip Off Weston Radio Shack Store

A bizarre crime is caught on camera, as a dress thief strikes, ripping off hundreds of dollars of computer parts from a Weston Radio Shack store.

She may not have been dressed to impress, but she clearly used her clothing to pull off a high tech heist.

"clearly she's done this before," said Broward Sheriff's Office spokeswoman, Dani Moschella. "She puts them in there quickly and she's gone."

Detectives with the Broward sheriff's Office said the couple, who were caught on surveillance video, orchestrated a brazen theft.

"Employees didn't even know it had happened until one of them noticed an empty shelf at the end of the day," Moschella said.

The crime took place at the Radio shack on Weston Road.

According to Radio Shack employees the female suspect was wondering around the store until she reached one particular aisle and found the more valuable items on the shelf.

"The man hands the woman a pretty sizable box containing a computer component," Moschella said.

On the surveillance video, the woman is seen placing not one, not two, not even three, but at least seven boxes inside her dress, with her male accomplice by her side.

"Detectives believe she must of had a bag or something set up," Moschella said.

At one moment in the video, the woman is seen adjusting her dress to make room for the loot.

Authorities say they were in and out in minutes. But, thanks to surveillance cameras, their run from the law may soon come to an end.

"The images are super clear. Anyone who knows this couple can see this video and you're gonna know who they are," Moschella said.

The thieves got away with almost $12,000 in merchandise. If you know anything about the crime, call Broward Crime Stoppers (954) 493-TIPS.
