Women Burglarized Businesses, Stole Cars in Boynton Beach Crime Spree: Police

Two young women are facing charges after police say they burglarized two Boynton Beach restaurants using a pick axe and stole two cars.

Victoria DeJesus and Deztanie DeJesus, both 19, are facing grand theft auto charges following their arrests on Wednesday, Boynton Beach Police said Monday.

Both women were booked into jail and later released on bond. It's unknown if they've hired attorneys.

According to police, the women used a pick axe to break into Jupiter Donuts. One of them grabbed an employee and walked her around the business to try to find a cash register but they fled when they realized there was no money, police said.

The women then broke into the Jersey Mike's Subs next door and stole money from a cash register, police said. Police arrested the women later in the day after each was found driving a stolen car, police said.

Charges are pending for the burglaries, police said.
