Women Had Kids With Them During Liquor Store Armed Robbery: Doral Police

Two women are facing armed robbery charges after police say one of them pulled a knife on a Doral liquor store clerk as they tried to steal bottles of cognac while accompanied by two children.

Kymbreana S. Johnson, 25, and Shamiece B. Johnson, 26, were arrested Wednesday on armed robbery and contributing to the delinquency of a minor charges in the incident that happened at the liquor store at 10730 Northwest 74th Street, Doral Police officials said.

Police said the women entered the store with two children who were around 10 years old. The women distracted a store employee while Kymbreana Johnson concealed two cognac bottles worth about $100 each in her purse, police said.

The women tried to leave the store, but were confronted by the clerk, who was able to retrieve one of the bottles, police said. The employee followed the women to a car, but Kymbreana Johnson pulled out a long bladed knife and tried to stab the clerk, police said.

The employee was able to take a photo of the car's tag as the women fled the scene. The women were taken into custody in Miami-Dade hours later.

Both women were booked into jail on the charges. Attorney information wasn't available.
