A construction worker has died after being electrocuted at a work site in Miami, officials said.

Chopper 6 was over the scene near Northeast 1st Avenue and 30th Street after a call was made about the worker being injured on a service elevator on the 24th floor around noon Tuesday. Other workers tried to help, but the victim collapsed.

The worker was brought to the first floor and transported to Ryder Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead according to Miami Fire Rescue. Officials have not released the worker’s identity or any additional information about the incident.

The Miami Police Department, along with city building officials and the Fire Marshal, are at the scene investigating at this time as the site has been closed for the day.
