Worker Rescued From Fort Lauderdale High Rise Construction Site

Crews in Fort Lauderdale rescued a man from a high rise construction site after an emergency call Thursday morning.

Fire Rescue crews arrived at the building off Federal Highway and North 3rd Street just after 10 a.m.

Unconfirmed reports said a worker suffered a back injury and was stuck on the 12th floor.

Fire Rescue officials said the elevator at the building only went to the fifth floor.

The technical rescue team was able to get the worker down and he was taken to Broward Health Medical Center, where his condition was unknown.
