Workers Rescued After Scaffolding Malfunction in SW Miami

Two construction workers were safely rescued after they were left hanging from their safety harnesses after a scaffolding incident in Southwest Miami-Dade Wednesday morning.

The incident happened at a construction site in the 2500 block of Southwest 28th Lane, Miami Fire Rescue officials said.

The workers were left hanging about 35 feet above ground after the scaffolding malfunctioned, officials said.

Members of the Miami Fire Rescue’s Technical Rescue Team responded to help the workers.

Officials have not released any details on the condition of the workers.
