The two workers injured when an LED display fell from a stage at the site of the Ultra Music Festival have been upgraded from critical to stable condition, Miami Fire Rescue officials said Friday.
Four people in total were injured when the lighting display fell Thursday night at the stage in Bayfront Park, one of the two main stages for the festival which is scheduled to begin Friday.
Inspectors were expected to check out the stage Friday morning to determine if it's safe, Miami Fire Rescue spokesman Lt. Ignatius Carroll said.
"We're gonna go inside, look at the main stage, see if we can try to determine why those light panels came crashing down," Carroll said.
Everything remained on schedule, with the first event scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.

"Festival organizers are working with, and supporting, authorities as they investigate the details behind the accident," Ultra organizers said in a statement Friday.
In addition to the stage where the accident happened, inspectors will double check the other main stage and five smaller stages to make sure they're safe, Carroll said.
The LED display crashed at about 7:50 p.m. on the stage at the south end of the park. One witness described the display as an approximately 30-foot-long rectangular video monitor that was suspended under the red āUā above the stage.
Construction was almost complete on the stage where the incident occurred, but all operations were halted there Thursday night until the stage could be inspected at daylight Friday, Carroll said.
The two workers were trapped by the display but were freed and rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center. One person was hit by falling debris and the fourth person who was injured refused treatment at the scene.
