Even in wacky, half-shirted Florida, municipal government and adult films don't mix. Scott Janke, the former Fort Myers Beach city manager famously fired last year for marrying a pornographic film actress, is learning this the hard way.
Again. Janke's strong bid for city manager in his new home of Flagler Beach appears to have come to a moaning halt after he was shown in a "non-sex role" alongside spouse Jazella Moore in a new adult film.
"Apparently, I am out," he told the Orlando Sentinel, shortly after disclosing the film's existence to city commissioners.
He said neither he nor his wife, whose real name is Anabela Mota Janke, consented to appear in "The Councilman's Wife," and that he was unaware of it until recently. He said he has already contacted a lawyer.
The video's website boasts "actual stolen home footage of the Councilman himself! As well as home video of him and Jazella as they make 'law' in Ft. Myers!"
An online review states that Janke appears nude, and footage of the now-estranged couple talking about the scandal in Fort Myers is interspersed with, well, you know.
Though Flagler Beach commissioners were aware of his wife's porn past and the previous to-do, it had not appeared to affect Janke's race until Thursday night's disclosure.

“I think that he’d be a really good city manager,” Flagler Beach commissioner Jane Mealy had said earlier in the week. “As far as I’m concerned, [his wife's profession] has no impact.”
As for Janke, he says he's up for another go in another city. Perhaps he should try Sunrise?
"It's becoming frustrating," he said, "but that's life."
