Toilet Humor? YMCA Leader Took Pic of Kid on Potty

Man took photos of 10-year-old in bathroom: police

A Fort Lauderdale YMCA worker was arrested Wednesday after police say he snapped photos of a 10-year-old boy going to the bathroom.

Jarrell Jarvis King, 22, is charged with video voyeurism and tampering with evidence after he followed the youngster into a restroom at the YMCA at 408 Northwest 14 Terrace and reached over a stall door to take pictures with his cell phone, according to the Fort Lauderdale Police Department.

"[King] took photos of the victim against their will and permission," said FLPD spokesman Frank Sousa in a release.

Police said King, a group leader for a day camp at the facility, admitted to YMCA officials that he took the photos but said it was a practical joke.

The police were called but by the time they got there, King had deleted the photos off his phone.

King was taken into custody and later bonded out of jail.
