Aerial Spraying for Mosquitoes to Take Place on Monday

Miami-Dade County mosquito control will be performing aerial spraying early Monday morning.

The aerial spray mission is in response to high mosquito trap counts, and many phone calls to the county reporting mosquitos as a nuisance.

The spraying will take place on Monday, July 3rd between 12:01 a.m. and 5:30 a.m.

If weather permits, the mosquito control flight will take place in Homestead, Florida City, the Redlands, West Kendall, and areas of U.S. 1 from S.W. 248th Street to the Rickenbacker Causeway.

Officials say that people with known allergic reactions should remain indoors as a precaution.
