Driver Attacked by Group of ATV Riders in Miami

A driver was assaulted by a group of men riding motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles in what Miami police believe was a case of road rage.

Police responded Wednesday in the area of NW 7th Avenue and 36th Street to what appeared to be a large fight, said Officer Kiara Delva of the Miami Police Department.

A man was driving in the area of NW 33rd Avenue and NW 11th Court when his vehicle was shot at, Delva said. A large group of men, some riding motorcycles and some on ATVs, followed him until they arrived in the area of 7th Avenue and 36th Street, where they assaulted the driver.

Brief cellphone footage shows the men jumping back on their bikes and riding away. The victim was treated at the scene by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and is expected to recover, Dela said.

Details of what led up to the attack were not available, but police believe it was possibly a road rage incident.
