‘Angry' Alligator Resting Near Gator Warning Sign Captured in Tampa Park

"Folks, we cannot stress enough that warning signs are there for a reason," the department said in a Facebook post.

Police officers and a trapper removed a large alligator who was spotted at a park in Tampa.

The Tampa Police Department said the "very large, very angry" alligator was resting right near a "Warning: Alligators" sign in Rowlett Park.

"Folks, we cannot stress enough that warning signs are there for a reason," the department said Sunday in a Facebook post.

The gator was safely taken into custody, the department said.
