It's official: New York City is no longer the rudest place in America.
That — honor? distinction? insult? — now falls to Miami, according to Travel + Leisure magazine, which ranked rudeness as part of its annual America's Favorite Places survey.
Miami had a high "snob score," the magazine said, while second-rudest city Phoenix has been steadily climbing the list in recent years.
New York came in third, as the magazine surmised that tourists had grown used to a certain Manhattan gruffness.
The survey ran for six months and garnered more than 50,000 votes, the magazine noted.
