Thousands of South Floridians hit the streets of Little Havana for the Three Kings parade on Sunday.

The 48th annual event, celebrating the Hispanic tradition of Three Wise Men presenting gifts to children, comes after the actual Three Kings Day on January 6th.

The parade started at noon and ran until about 4 p.m. with the route going along Southwest 8th Street between 4th and 17th Avenues, where it turned north and ended at Southwest 6th Street.

The parade’s grand marshal this year was Latin pop star Luis Fonsi, whose smash hit “Despacito” tore up the charts in 2017.

In attendance were several dignitaries from the area, as will Florida Gov. Rick Scott and Lt. Gov. Carlos Lopez-Cantera, a Miami native.
