Armed Man Demands Scratch-Offs During Gas Station Robbery

An armed man entered a North Lauderdale gas station early Thursday morning, demanded cash and lottery tickets and fled, officials said.

The man requested a pack of cigarettes and displayed a gun when the store clerk handed them to him.

The suspect then demanded that the employee empty the register and give him a roll of scratch-off lottery tickets. Because the bag of money and lottery tickets were in the man’s hands, he stuffed the gun into the front of his pants as he left the store, officials said.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
