Armed Thief Robs 4 7-Elevens in Pompano Beach: BSO

Authorities are on the hunt for a serial thief who has robbed at least four 7-Elevens in Pompano Beach in recent weeks.

The first robbery was reported Feb. 23 at the store at 2040 Northeast 49th Street, Broward Sheriff's Office officials said. Police said the suspect was armed with a black handgun and worked alone.

The next day, Feb. 24, he robbed the store at 14 N. Federal Highway, again armed with a gun, BSO officials said.

On Feb. 26, he struck at the store at 2391 N. Dixie Highway, turning off the store's power before robbing it with an accomplice and while armed with a machete, officials said.

The suspect again carried a machete and used an accomplice when he robbed the 7-Eleven at 290 West Copans Road on March 7, officials said.

A reward of up to $3,000 is being offered for tips leading to arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
